LED clock assembly

Recently I brought this assembly kit Bluetooth led clock at Banggood:

Here are some pictures showing the process:

The assembly was relatively easy. Except the SMD leds, resistors, transistors and capacitors! They were a little bit harder to solder.

Unfortunately the Bluetooth feature didn’t work with my actual mobile phone, that has Android 4.4 (KitKat) installed. The managing App only works with Android 2.0 to 4.0.

Here are the assembly instructions and the Android app:

  1. Hi, I build this one also, but my 82S52 was empty. I found the 1.0 firmware, so it works, but I’m still looking for the 1.2 firmware (hex or binary) … Anyone? Nice clock!

  2. Hello Marcel,
I just wanted to warmly thank you for posting the documentation about the LED clock kit.
I’ve bought it from an Ebay seller that, as many others nowadays, has the bad habit of selling items without providing the relevant documentation, not even a link.
Surfing around I’ve found some infos that proved full of errors, till I came across your site where I’ve found not only a thorough documentation set but also a wealth of other useful infos and ideas.
Well done, kudos to you and keep up the good work!
    Best regards
    Roberto

  3. I would also like to thank you. Like Roberto, I also bought on Ebay. Still finding something after such a long time, thank you.

Ich möchte mich ebenfalls bedanken. Wie Roberto habe ich auch bei Ebay gekauft. Nach so langer Zeit immer noch etwas zu finden, Danke.

  4. Built 2 of these, having issues with all the led’s lighting up, I’m older & my eyesight isn’t that great. Which transistors drive which LED’s? any ideas would be appreciated. Thinking about trying 1 more time…
